This policy describes Sillmark version 1.0.0 and the accompanying static pages. It matches the app's local records, permissions, deliberate external link and deletion controls.
Effective: 11 September 2026
01
Scope
Sillmark is an original plant-observation tool. This policy covers its Android functions and the two static pages that introduce the product. It does not extend to a browser, device feature or external website after you deliberately leave Sillmark.
02
Plant records
You can create and edit a plant name, an ordinary shelf or location label, a pot note and a selected visual plate. These fields are user-authored. Sillmark does not read GPS, identify a species or verify a plant's condition.
03
Observation marks
A dated mark can contain your visible leaf-posture choice, visible-color choice, new-growth seen/not-seen/uncertain choice and free note. The app stores the choices you make; it does not infer a cause, diagnosis, treatment or health score.
04
Personal task dates
You can enter a task title, due date and optional repeat interval. Due state is calculated locally when Sillmark is opened. The app does not schedule a system notification or background alarm, and it does not present your interval as universal plant-care guidance.
05
Device storage
Plant records, observation marks, personal task dates, comparison choices, the latest undo snapshot and reduced-motion preference are stored in app-private preferences on the Android device. Sillmark version 1.0.0 has no account, remote database or cloud-sync feature.
06
Network boundary
The Android app does not declare the Internet permission. Core screens, records and images are included with the app. A deliberate source-link tap asks another installed app, such as a browser, to open that address under its own connection and privacy behavior.
07
External reading
The Guide includes an optional link to the Royal Horticultural Society's Houseplant 101 page. The link opens the device browser only after you tap it. That external site has its own terms and privacy practices; Sillmark is not affiliated with the RHS.
08
Deletion controls
You can remove an individual observation or plant after confirmation and undo the most recent reversible change while its snapshot remains available. “Clear local shelf” removes mutable local work and restores the editable starter examples. Uninstalling the app removes its app-private data under ordinary Android behavior.
09
Backup and transfer
Android cloud backup and device-transfer extraction are disabled for this build. Sillmark does not implement a restore-from-cloud function. Independent device-owner screenshots or system backups outside the app remain controlled by the device and its settings.
10
Sharing and audience
Sillmark version 1.0.0 does not transmit or sell your records and has no in-app sharing feature. It is designed for general adult indoor-plant hobbyists and is not directed to children. Do not place sensitive personal information in optional free-text fields.
11
Policy changes
A future release that adds permissions, network services, accounts, analytics, sharing or a different storage model requires a revised policy and fresh implementation review. The effective date on this page identifies the current review.
12
Organization and contact
Sillmark is prepared for the user-supplied release profile FUNCTIONAL WITH FND. Privacy correspondence may be mailed to 3380 W 4375 S, West Haven, UT 84401-6788. This identity does not turn the plant notebook into medical guidance or claim a program, treatment or health outcome.
13
Device access
The Android manifest requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts, shared-storage, nearby-device, notification, advertising or sensor permission. Text and dates are entered through the app controls you choose to use.
14
Export and system services
Sillmark version 1.0.0 does not include a plant-record export or in-app sharing service. Opening the optional reading link hands only the selected address to a compatible installed app; Sillmark does not attach your records or notes.
15
Third-party services
Version 1.0.0 bundles no analytics, advertising, payment, authentication, crash-reporting, synchronization or third-party tracking SDK. Android platform components and app-private preferences support the product functions.
16
Record retention
Your current local shelf remains until you edit or delete a record, use Clear local shelf, clear app data through Android settings or uninstall Sillmark. There is no remote account database with a separate server-retention period.
17
Static website requests
Opening these static pages causes your browser to request page files and images from the chosen host. The site code contains no contact form or plant-record upload. A future host may retain routine request logs under its own published terms.
18
Browser storage
The landing and policy pages do not set application cookies, create a website account or add analytics and advertising trackers. Browser features, extensions or a future hosting provider may operate independently under their own settings and notices.
